Remembering In
I remember when I first got my nails done. I was at home, and I asked my mom, “Can I get my nails done?” She said, “No,” with a laugh. I begged her, saying, “I’m in sixth grade; I should be able to get my nails done.” And she said, “Let me think.”I gave her time to think, about thirty minutes. Then she said, “Yes, but you have to get them cut down short,” and I said, “Okay!”
That same day, Mom drove me to Nail Time on 13th street. I sat there and waited and then it was time for me to get my nails done. I wanted plain white tips. The lady in charge said, “Go over to her,” so I went and sat down at the cosmetologist’s station. She did my nails, and when it was done, I thought it made my hands look different, like better.
I remember moving to Texas. I remember when “my dad and my step mom told me and my stepsisters we were moving to Texas”. We thought it was all a joke, but they were serious. I didn’t want to move to Texas, because I really don’t like exploring other states. Another reason I didn’t want to move is because I was going to miss the rest of my family and friends. I moved in September, but by next year in January, I moved back in with my mom.
I remember living at my old house. I lived there with my mom when I was starting fifth grade. It was fun even though the neighborhood had always been really noisy. I had a lot of friends.
I remember fifth grade graduation from Spaght Elementary. I remember I walked into the church. It was at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. I saw people, a lot of families. I was nervous to walk across the stage, but I had to in order to receive the certificate. My aunt, my mom, my dad, my step mom, my stepsisters, my sister, my cousins, and the teachers and the other students clapped for me. I felt happy but still shy. After I had my certificate, I felt happy and glad it was over. Afterwards, we had juice and cookies in the gym.
I remember going to Las Vegas. I remember when “my aunt said lets go on a trip for spring break”. Me my sister and her daughter jazmyn said. Where? She said Las Vegas! We said ok. So she went downstairs and ordered the tickets on the computer. And then we waited for them to the tickets to come in the mail. Then we had to take an ID picture so we could get on the plane. About a week later, it was getting close to Spring Break and she drove us to Oklahoma so we could catch the plane down there. Then we went to the airport and it takes a little bit for us to get on the plane. When I got on the plane, I was scared, and then when the plane took off, it took about three hours to get to Las Vegas. And then we arrived there. We got on the cab to go to Circus Circus Hotel. While in the cab, driving through the streets, I see lots of lights and different hotels. We get to the hotel. My aunt checks us in, and then we go to the room to put our stuff up. We go downstairs to the buffet. Downstairs, I see a lot of lottery machines. After we eat, we go back to the hotel room. The next morning we wake up, go eat breakfast, and then we go to M&M world and visit other hotels. We were there for four days and I had lots of fun.
I remember cheerleading. I remember cheerleading for the colts two years ago,I was in 5th grade. I really loved cheerleading, even though we lost most of games. But it was still fun doing the cheers and competing against the other teams.
I remember my last birthday. My last birthday was in December I was turning 12 years old. I was living in Texas at the time. For my birthday I got a lot of things, such as, clothes, jewelry, money, and a mi life, and more things. But for my 12th birthday I chose to have it at home. And some of the things we did were play the card game spoons and more. For my birthday we didn’t eat pizza like most people we ate one of my favorite’s food which is tacos, salsa, chips, nachos, and more. And the kind of cake I had was whip cream icing, and the cake was marble, yummy. But that was a fun day.
THE END!!!
