My First Day of 6th Grade
My first day of 6th grade was like you could fry an egg outside because it was so hot. I was nervous when my dad dropped me off, shaking like a jackhammer. “Dad, I’m nervous”, I told him.
After Dad left, I was looking for one of my friends to stand by, when I was outside in the front of the school. It looked like a bunch of ant’s standing around. There were a bunch of kids talking, some I knew, and a lot of them I did not know.
Then all of a sudden I saw my friend Tyler Thach, his head of flat black hair lying straight.
“Hey, what’s up?” I said to Tyler.
“Hi,” he responded.
Meanwhile, the principal came outside, looking for all the 6th graders, to tell us we needed to go inside, and go to the PE room to get our schedule.
Tyler and I walked in the big school and tried to find the PE room.
“This is confusing,” Tyler said.
“I know let’s go and ask a teacher,” I told him.
Then we saw a teacher. I asked the teacher, “Where is the gym, Miss?”
“Take a left at this corner then go left again to run into the gym,” She said.
Suddenly, we ran into the PE room. After getting in the PE room, Tyler went a different way to get his schedule.
It was hard to find my last name so I could get my schedule because there were a lot of kids trying to get their schedule. It was weird I thought I was going to forget and be late to all my classes.
My first class was language arts. There are two language arts classes for 6th grade and I went to another class instead of the one I was supposed to go to. .I told the teacher, “I’m sorry!” I told the teacher. I was really nervous because I did not know any body in that class.
Later that day at recess, I went outside and I played basketball with some other kids and Tyler. After I got bored with playing basketball, I started to play soccer.
After recess I was feeling better about school because I was not so nervous. I felt that I could find my way around the school.
Blasting this conversation into a massive orbit!!!!!
