I Remember
It was the worst day ever. My worst day was April 19, 2009. That day was the day my grandpa passed away. I remember I was in the mall with my mom and family. My family that was there came from Dodge City. It was my uncle aunt and two cousins Mariela and Kimberly although only Mariela, Kimberly, and my aunt went to the mall.
I remember hearing the “under my umbrella” song my mom has as a ring tone when my uncle called to give us the bad news. I remember that my mom was about to try on these one jeans and she threw them at me when my uncle told her my grandpa was dead. I remember what I was wearing, my blue shirt and skinny jeans with my converse shoes. I also remember I had to look for my aunt and cousins all over the mall to tell them the bad news. When I had finally found them I had to tell Mariela “My grandpa is dead!” I had to tell her because she saw that I was kind of crying at the mall. When I told her she said “I can’t believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!”
But most of all I remember having to call my sister at work and tell her, “Olivia, my grandpa is dead.”
She asked, “Are you playing with me?”
I told her “No” and then she started to cry.
She asked me what we were going to do and I said, “Ask if you can go home now and then we will ask there ok.” She had said ok.
I remember him telling me to listen to my mom. I remember him telling me to have fun at the fair. I remember him telling me the last time I saw him to take care of my mom and sister. I remember seeing him in the coffin. I remember when they were barring him. I remember him telling me “I love you.”
Blasting this conversation into a massive orbit!!!!!
